Girls football training starts 3 April

From Richard Brown
Riverton Junior Football Club – Girls Football Coordinator

The start of the season is now only 7 weeks away and the Club needs to have an idea as to what teams it will be nominating for 2018. As such I am asking if you could confirm whether or not you intend to play again in 2018 as part of a Year 7/8 team.

At the moment I have received confirmation of three players for the Year 7/8 team. It is likely that we will have four girls graduating from last year’s Year 6 team, so the group will resemble the successful inaugural team that we had in 2016. It would be great to hear from you and let me know of your intentions.

I am intending to coach again, and I am hopeful that Eve will be an assistant and help with the stretching exercises I find so hard. Speaking of which, training will commence on Tuesday 03/04/2018, 4:30pm to 5:30pm. Thursdays may be added at the start of the season.

If you have younger sisters who would like to play in the lower grades of football, i.e. Years 3/4 or Years 5/6, please let them know that the Riverton Roos are interested in hearing from them. The Club will have a stall at the Girls Come and Try Clinic at the Cockburn Aquatic & Recreation Centre on Monday 12 March if you would like to go along.

If you have any questions, I can be contacted by email or on 0450 398 315.
